Starting in 1928, Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Co.(WEMCO) built a line of Diesel/electric locomotives assembled at its South Philadelphia works, with bodies from various sources, including Baldwin and Bethlem Steel. However, one last fling was made with the "Blue Goose" turbine.(1)
